The Non-Wedding Reunion

So my sister Linds called off the wedding, it was such a fun weekend still......
These are my parents Sherie and Dave and a picture that I was trying to take.
This picture sequence is so funny. At first we have and extra (cousin Ana) and exasperated Noah, Autumn's brewing and Gavin is grinning his best and then...

Just can't resist looking bored, Noah's about to take flight and Gavin is still grinning.

Oh.... one hand down and Noah's flying!

Two hands down. Two smirks. One grin. Two patient grandparents and....we'll call it good.

My sister Lindsey holding my sister Kari's little girl Sophie who's lovin that oreo!!

Ana and Autumn gettin some of the good stuff.

Something for everyone, he is so delighted!

Noah Stratton Gavin
Hey Gavin, is that a bubble coming up from your shorts? That's what I thought!! Your face gives it away.

We love our cousins.

Loved "Leta"

Prepped and ready to go. We've waited for this day to come. We voted for David every Tuesday when he was on American Idol. We've been playing his songs so we can sing along with David. I asked Gavin what his favorite song is and he responded, "A Little too Not Over You." Perfect. Just what every seven year old's favorite song should be. Mine, ummmm probably You Can, yeah You Can, so good!

This is what we saw when we went to pick up our tickets from will call. We walked down line turned and then another 3/4 block of people beyond this line to get our tickets and then back again to get line for our concert Gavin and I had been waiting for- David Archuleta.

It started to down pour when we were in line. Luckily we had my jacket to keep the rain at bay. If anybody thought mormons were crazy seeing us all in line getting drenched to watch some teeny-bopper singer, we just proved we are crazy!!

Waiting ever so patiently to watch his favorite singer. Gavin wasn't to crazy about the intro rocker singer and was ready to leave until David came out singing. Gavin got fired up and was singing right with him. A couple times I grabbed Gavin and lifted him up high so he could wave at David. We were only 30 feet away!! I loved looking at Gavin's expression when he was watching/singing with "Leta" great time, even though I had a sore throat. (Turns out that I have strep throat!! Thank goodness for narcotics and antibiotics- I love you.)

I snuck a couple of pictures. I say snuck because all the bouncers said they would take away any flash cameras they saw. Cell phones-OK no cameras! I think they were really good at threatening, no one took my camera. Here he is. Great singer, just as cute as he was on AI.

Loved it, worth the money paid, standing in the rain, and enduring the first singer (sorry Leslie Roy, no wonder that night was your last night on tour with David.)

Thanks "Leta" for your awesome concert. Gavin and I had a great time even though I was prepared with a sharpie to have you sign Gavin's tee shirt and we didn't get that done, other than that we had a fun night listening to you and singing along with you.

No, it's not me!! Dave says he can't believe he has a wife that would do such a thing.
Just watch and you'll know what I'm talking about.

Bon Voyage!! Last Day Stirrup Cay, Bahamas

We spent the day at this beach soaking up the sun and snorkeling. I just couldn't get enough sun and warmth. Thanks Mandy for letting us borrow your snorkels, it was one of my favorite things we did on our cruise.

We went snorkeling we say a Lion Fish and a Sting Ray. The sting ray would swim and Dave and I would swim after him. Look how blue the water is.

I love just squishing my feet in the warm soft sand and soaking up the sun. To me this is what vacation is all about.

Thanks, Norwegian Pearl for such a wonderful cruise. We loved it and will definitely come back to see you some day. Be ready because when we do we'll be taking our little clan of Petersons with us. I think you can handle us. Until then back to the cold of Idaho we go.

Bon Voyage!! Day 4&5 Cozumel, Mexico

What Dave likes to do on the cruise.....

What I like to do on the cruise!! Something for everyone.

We ate at this Mexican restaurant in Cozumel and the waiter didn't speak English and we don't speak Spanish and so there was a lot of pointing to pictures and "muy biens" The food was muy bien, look at my plate.

We rented a scooter and scootered around the island this is a picture from my view. The ocean was beautiful, so blue.
We watched these waves come up and hit the rock and then spray up it was so cool.

Love the helmuts they make you wear. I hopped on the back and away we went. This sign is sign of a little beach park where we hung out and snorkled for a while.
Funny story, when we parked a little mexican man took it upon himself to put cardboard on our scooter. And sit by the scooters and watch over them ( and then they want 20$). We were ready to hit the road and the little man was gone. We started upt he scooter and started scootering away and little man came ruuning out after us. We kept right on chugging.

This little beach park was so relaxing. The hammocks the blue water the heat. Loved it.

Can't wait to go back, loved it.

Love the sand between the toes, it feels so nice and warm.

Just for you Gavin and Noah.

Our nightly picture. Thanks for borrowing your dress to me Lindsey. Love NCL!

Bon Voyage!! Day 3 Belize

If there was one day I could have brought the kids with us it would have been to the Belize. The wild life here was pretty incredible. I kept thinking of how Gavin and Noah would name all the animals names because they think they're Diego. These black loops in the trees are actually Howler Monkeys basking in the sun.

Yes, you all know what this is.

I have no idea what the name of this bird is but, I like how he's walking on lily pads.

We were traveling to the ruins in a boat and here are these 3 fisherman in a boat lip that is 4 inches off the water. Our little cruiser boat had to slow down so the wake wouldn't tip their boat over.

Look close there are 4 Sap Wing Bats on this tree.

You just got to love this Iguana, he was huge.

This ruin is called the High Temple. Dave and I climbed to the top which wasn't bad but going back down was scary. It took some concentration to not freak myself out.

Looking down from the top of High Temple ruin.

So I let Dave play "apostate Nephite" and let him sacrifice me on the High Temple.

This Mask Temple Ruin is amazing.

Yeah, I don't know.

The Jaguar Temple

I don't know if you can tell or not be we are sitting in front of the Jaguar Temple. All these temples were just a few minutes waking distance away. I wonder why they needed such big structures so close to each other.

Here we are enjoying some entertainment in the Spitaker Lounge on the Ship. (After of course we made our nightly stop at the ice cream parlor.)

Finding these cute little creations on our bed with chocolate and the next day's itinerary was sweet. I'd eat the chocolate and Dave's too while reading the next day's events.
