Gavin's Soccer Season

Gavin had a great fall soccer season. Even though he loved playing defense the most, he would usually score 1-2 goals per game. Fun to watch!!

This is at his end of the season soccer party, this is Dylan his good friend on his team.
(Ok, no one ever told me that after your child eats blue ice cream that their pooh would be the same color!! After the double take I told Noah to hurry up and flush it!!"

Coach McKinney told him that he was good at using his knobby knees and stealing the ball from the opponent and running it down the field. (Go knobby knees!!) We love you Gavin thanks for the fun soccer season!!

I Know What Gavin Is Thinkin About!

I grabbed Gavin's papers and started looking through them and
I saw his score on the first page and thought, "good grief ....what did he not understand?" ( not characteristic, his head is not just used for a hat rack, if ya know what I mean ;)

Then I came across this: (click on paper to enlarge)

I just started laughing and gave the paper to Dave.
What do I expect after letting you watch Iron Man?? I knew you loved Iron man but good night.
I wonder what your teacher was thinking?

Noah is awesome. He played his little soccer heart out. I don't know what he liked more:
1. playing soccer or
2. playing with the water bottles and teammates when he was on the sidelines or
3. snacks at the end of the game! It was a good season for him he improved so much from last year.

Soccer, Soccer, I love Soccer!!

I got me my trophy, chocolate milk and cupcake:
I'm a happy kid!!

Apple Pickin

Last Saturday between soccer games we went to the church's orchard in Caldwell Idaho (approximately 20 minutes from home) and picked Rome apples. These are just a couple of pics of last Saturday. The day was absolutely gorgeous; warm, sunny and crisp.

Noah delighted in stomping every rotten apple that he came across.

Gavin like being on the ladders helping Dave pick. Looks good enough to eat.

Can you guess what my kids ate for lunch that day? So that weekend we made apple crisp, apple pie and pretty much apples for every lunch and dinner. Tryin to keeps those docs away!

We were ghosted!!

So we "Ghosted" some of our friends. On the second house we "ghosted" we totally got busted. We didn't know that their dead bolt was broken so they opened their garage door. Noah peeked his head around and they saw him. They walked over to where we were huddled together and just looked at us in wonderment, but the funny thing is Connor, their son, totally knew what was going on and ran for the hallow ween treats.

Gavin and Noah being so sneaky!

That's Amore

Oh yeah, Autumn, gimme some chin sister!
Tonight "WE" made homemade pizza. We put together our favorite ingredients and we went to town. Gavin, Noah and Autumn loved each getting a section to creat themselves and put on the ingredients they thought would be yummy.

Here is Autumn helping me cut up the ingredients She was pretty good, considering I gave her a butter knife to cut pineapple. :)

Here's Daviano working hard on the pizza pie and the spread.

Preschool Pumpkin Patch

Last week Noah's preschool class went to the pumpkin patch. Here's a picture when he finally got to pick out his pumpkin. He tried to take corn too by filling his plastic bag full of corn one piece per person in the family. I finally convinced him to put it back by asking him if he brought extra money to buy the corn.
Here' Noah's two buddies B and I!!

Here's the corn he tried to heist as he's running through the corn maze still wondering when he can pick his pumpkin.

Noah and the DINO Castle

Last week while Gavin was at school and Autumn was sleeping Naoh and I made a Dinosaur castle. He was very specific about each job the dinosaur had and what they did. I love spending time with Noah he makes me laugh with his creative comments. Like yesterday he was telling me his knee got hurt. Naturally I asked him how and he said, "I slipped on the invisible kiwi." from there the giggles just took over.

Kids love to do homework in the right place!!

I say to Gavin, "Hey Gav, lets do your spelling and reading." He replies, "no!! I want to go play." Then I say, "Gavin, why don't we do your homework in the boat?" Gavin says, "OK that would be awesome!!" (Normally, kids not allowed in the boat.)
He had fun in there while we completed his home work and it was dual duty because I could still keep an eye on Autumn while she played outside.
This was last Tuesday while the weather was still nice by Friday-we had snow!!

Iron Man

We still had the projector from movie night so we decided to get iron man and watch it with out kids. They have been begging us to watch it since they saw the first movie trailer. There were several violent scenes so we covered Gavin and Noah's eyes. Gavin was pretty scared at some parts but he made it through. All in all I will not let them watch this movie by themselves. But I thought it was pretty good myself. As you can see what Autumn and Noah thought of it. ZZZZZZZZZZ!! And here Gavin makes the peace sign like they do in the Movie. Then Gavin and I pretend to sleep like a pile of puppies cuddled together.

Outdoor Movie Night

Last Friday Night we had "Outdoor Movie Night." We invited friends and neighbors and we sat across the street on grassy common area and previewed Wonder Pets and watched Alvin and the Chipmunks. Admission was a nonperishable food item that we donated to the Food Bank of Idaho.
Dave helped me clamp an old white curtain to some tall boards and then leaned the boards up against the fence. It worked great!!
Gavin, Noah and Autumn loved it and the movie, they quote it all the time. One of their favorites is, "kiss my furry cheeks."
Andrea made this awesome marshmallow popcorn which she shared and I loved.
A definite must do again.

For Sale?

Here is Autumn. I once again dug my daughter out of our neighbor's garage and this time she found some garage sale stickers. She likes stickers a lot more than my boys they don't like band-aids either. The other morning I found a bunch of stickers on her pajamas, I guess I'll just call her my little sticker princess.
