We took the PLUNGE!!

Dave and I have been thinking about buying a boat since we moved to Idaho. We've been keeping our eye out and waiting until fall to purchase in hopes that boat prices would drop. We found this boat on Craig's list and thought it was perfect for our family. We took her out to Lucky Peak Lake we had so much fun!
So here she is, our new boat. This boat is just like Mindy and Rob's boat only 2 feet shorter. Their boat is 19 feet ours is 17. It is a 1997 Maxum. Great condition and it runs fast-as we found today.
Hey Hal, see you next year at Powell!!
It fits in our garage. We will put it back in the extra bay this winter. The canvas shade needs a little wash.
Dave, Noah and Gavin giving the water a test swim!
Gavin is pretending to ski in the front of the boat. Gavin swallows air habitually and then burps. Well tonight he said to me, "Mom, I think I have a burping infection!" Funny kid.

My sweety taking a dip!! That is chilly water.

My happy girl likes to swipe the key to the boat-always. She smiles and says says cheese but it comes out, "Geeeeece!!" with a big grin.

Check that tummy out!

This kid can fall asleep anywhere!

Sleepy angel.

Peach Pickin!

Gavin, Noah, Autumn and I went peach picking with a friend and her son. We went to the Church's orchard. The peaches were as big as soft balls. The peaches were so fun to eat and so delicious. The kids had a great time until the peach fuzz got on their arms and they started itching, then it wasn't so fun anymore.

Autumn loved eating peach. To me this is what summer is all about. The juice would drip down her elbows!!
Noah with his bucket of peaches that he picked. He would fill up his bucket so happily.
Look how big the peaches were this one is almost as big as Gavin's head. Gavin with his proud peach pick!! Here is Noah loading up the box!!
Reach!! Good thing my friend April was tall, I would grab the branch and hang on it and then April would pick the peaches. We picked over a bushel for our family. Then Dave and I processed them and canned them and froze them. It took a long time but it was worth it now we have peaches to last us the whole winter.

Here's Dave and Gavin with the peaches we put up. Dave is holding the frozen tray of peaches that we'll use for smoothies. We froze most of them in freezer bags and then added fruit fresh and juice to the bag.

Camping In Idaho

We went camping in a cute camp called Black Rock. There were only a few people there and it was absolutely beautiful. There were mountains right before us and a river at the base. There was a little swimming hole right next to our site and Dave and the boys went swimming. The Paynes came too with their girls Bailey and Ellie. Right when we arrived at the site Noah came to me and said he heard a rattle snake. I just thought that he heard a grasshopper clicking and thought it was a rattle snake. Then a little later we were setting up our tents and the kids were over playing with the fire pit. (No fire, fire ban due to all the fires going on right now in Idaho). I saw Dave walk over to where the children were and all of the sudden I saw Dave grab Autumn and start running and all the while yelling to the children to get the heck out of there. They scattered like Saturn Missles. Sure enough there was a Rattle Snake by the rocks set around the campfire. You could hear the tail rattling-freaky. Dave and Ryan tried to get the snake for like an hour but the snake went down in its little hole.

Then later when it was dark I saw a black shadow and looked harder to see a fox. It was tall and it had a white tipped tail. Dave and Ryan chased the fox for awhile and then we settled a gain and the sneaky little fox came back again. He was clearly not afraid of us. He tried to get to our table where the food was. The kids got a little afraid and I told them to say, "Swiper no swiping!" They seemed to like that.

In the morning we made cinnamon rolls, pancakes, bacon and hot cocoa for breakfast it was good. We left about 11:00 am and just a few miles from our camp site on the road we saw a black bear. Woudn't you know it- my camera ran out of batteries and I didn't get a picture of the bear-stink. I've never seen so much wild life in my whole life that I saw in the 20 hours we were there camping. So much fun!!

Gavin's First Day of School 7/25/2007

It was Gavin's first day of school. This is a picture of him in his mom and dad's bed. He was so excited he got up early so I told him to sleep a little longer in my bed. He woke up excited and stayed that way all day.

I took pictures of him getting ready. We did our act of kindness and this is Gavin and Autumn fixing their hair (back pack is on!!).

My three little sweet hearts so cute!!

His favorite part of the day: the Bus Ride!! It was hard for me to let Gavin go on this bus with a bunch of stangers. He was confident and ready to got but I didn't want to let him go, I held back the tears.

After Gavin got on the bus we met him at his school for a Boo Hoo Breakfast for all the moms. This is Gavin standing outside his classroom # 6!! Gavin got right in his classroom and found his chair sat down and started coloring. The little girl next to him was crying this didn't seem to bother Gavin.
What a fun day!!

Pretty normal morning so far, Autumn is into throwing her food when she's finished eating. This morning it was her oatmeal bowl and her english muffin with strawberry jam. Oh well the floor needed a good cleaning.

Roaring Springs Water Park

Today we went to the water park as a family. We used the rest rooms and Dave, Gavin and Noah were waiting for me. I came out and said, "Let's go." Dave, Gavin and I started walking and I had to turn back around to encourage Noah to come along. He was swinging himself around in circles just as an older gentleman walk by. Just then Noah swung around one more time and as the man walked past him, Noah swung his hand up and slapped the old man right in the butt!!! The smacking noise was so loud because of wet swim trunks.
Then man jumped around and looked at Noah and then at me, and I just said, "Uuuummm, aaahh.......this one is in his own little world." Luckily the man just chuckled and walked away. I caught up with Dave and Gavin and started to laugh. Only Noah. We had a great time, Autumn came for a few hours and then I took her home and a baby sitter stayed with her. I was really nervous about leaving her because she usually cries for strangers but she did great and the baby sitter said she didn't cry at all, that's my girl. We finished the night by going over to our friends' house the Paynes to celebrate their daughter, Bailey's Birthday. We ate cake and ice cream (which was our dinner for the night). Gavin came in crying because a nighbor kid, Connor hit and soaked him with a water balloon. I told him to "get him back!" He started to smile and went running out the door.

Craziness is just my normal day.

I got up to the sound of Autumn's little bear that went off in her crib. I squeezed my eyes tight in hopes that she might not wake up-she did. Kids up and moving with Children's Miracle Music. Made home made mac-n-cheese with whole wheat noodle-didn't go over to well they did eat some of it though.
After I got the crew lunch and cleaned up I laid on the couch for a second and could here mischief happening but I ignored it. Gavin and Noah dumped clothes, blankets, pillows, diapers, cushions and anything else they could find into the stair well and started jumping. I told them that's probably not such a good idea right now because were not insured, so I let them jump a few more time and then I told them to put it away.
I came into the kitchen to find Noah Peeing in my glass bottle, my, he is my special boy.
Tonight it was nice because there was cloud cover not so hot, only about 90. Autumn hurt her fingers by trying to sit on the neighbor's electric scooter and it smashed them pretty good. I was giving her meds and running her fingers under cold water and Noah came in and told me that Ally(neighbor girl across street) dropped a glass bottle and it broke. It sounded suspicious and so I pressured him for more info. He said, "Uh I guess I broke it so I went out and discovered that Noah, surprise surprise, had opened the back door to van and took out a glass bottle(for DI) and threw it and it smashed and broke in the driveway.
Cleaned glass up, went in gave the kids a bath had them finish cleaning up the blankets etc. which had been dumped upstairs in a big heap, and went to bed
